Climate Lens Assessments have now been completed on the Community Centre project.
Bowen Island Municipality has completed the required Climate Lens Assessments as part of the Community Centre Project application to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program grant.
Included in the assessments are a Green house Gas Mitigation Report and a Climate Resilience Report.
Access to grant funding is a key component of the estimated capital budget of $14.5 million, and could pay up to 73% of the eligible costs of building the Community Centre.
For decades, Islanders have envisioned a place where community can better flourish, and lives are enriched in multiple and profound ways. With the climate lens assessment in place, we are now one step closer to realising that vision.
