Volunteer Firefighters use their hazard lights to let you know when they are on their way to an emergency call

Please check your rear view mirror frequently when driving on local roads so you will notice if a firefighter or first responder is driving behind you in their personal vehicle with hazard lights flashing. Our Volunteer firefighters use their hazard lights to let you know when they are on their way to the fire hall to respond to an emergency call-out. All firefighters have Bowen Island Fire Rescue license plate borders on their vehicles.

Please pull over when you feel it’s safe to allow our volunteers to pass – yielding could save somebody’s life.
