Old Fire Hall Property
This is a public notice under Section 26 of the Community Charter that Bowen Island Municipality intends to dispose of lands that are not being made available to the public for acquisition.
The Municipality intends to enter into a License of Occupation agreement with BC Hydro for the use of 784 Grafton Rd (the old Fire Hall property) to store power lines, poles and associated gear, to park Hydro trucks and other BC Hydro vehicles, and to have a location for BC Hydro to improve emergency and afterhours response capability on Bowen Island.
784 Grafton Road is owned by the Municipality. The legal description is PID: 008-651-931 LOT 1 BLOCK 2 DISTRICT LOT 1347 PLAN 13386. The property is shown in blue outline on the map below.
The License of Occupation is for a term of one year, and includes two additional one-year renewal options.
You can request to inspect a copy of the Licence of Occupation at Municipal Hall, 981 Artisan Lane, Bowen Island, during our hours of operation of Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (closed on statutory holidays).
