Fire crews have worked tirelessly to contain the fire. They will continue mopping up and monitoring the area for several hours.

Our firefighters are on the scene of a wildfire near the lighthouse at Cape Roger Curtis. The fire is approximately 1600 square feet and does not present a threat to homes or structures.
Bowen Islanders care passionately about the environment and our community. Personal safety of residents and firecrew are our top priority.
