European Green Crab (Carcinus maenas) is a highly destructive invasive species with an aggressive temperament and a pentagon-shaped shell.

Taking an early detection, rapid response approach, our volunteers are monitoring for EGC in collaboration with Bowen Island Fish and Wildlife Club, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council, and the Átl’ka7tsem/ Howe Sound UNESCO Biosphere Region.
