Fire Hall #1 on Miller Road
BA Blackwell, a forest fire consultant company, is coming to Bowen. They will be presenting on FireSmart neighbourhoods.
The neighbourhood recognition program is all about neighbours coming together to make their neighbourhood FireSmart. Every FireSmart neighbourhood needs a FireSmart champion.
The presentation will be an introduction to a Neighbourhood Recognition Program under FireSmart Canada. During the presentation, the audience will become familiar with the benefits of becoming recognized as a FireSmart Neighbourhood. They will also understand the steps to become a recognized neighbourhood as well as to remain recognized. Examples of Neighbourhood Wildland Fire Hazard Assessment Form and FireSmart mitigation ‘Action Items’ will be provided during the presentation.
