At the June 24 Regular Council Meeting, staff introduced bylaws to amend building and development fees.
Most significantly, these changes will increase the building permit fee by $1 per $1,000 of construction value. These changes are intended to ensure that the fees charged for building permits cover the cost of reviewing, issuing and enforcing building permits on Bowen Island.
