We’re pleased to share continued progress on the Cove Bay Water Treatment Plant, an essential infrastructure project aimed at providing cleaner, safer, and more reliable drinking water to the community.
The plant is currently operating with one of its two ceramic ultrafiltration (CUF) units, already producing water of significantly improved quality. Purifics, the CUF manufacturer, has committed to replacing all ceramic filter tubes in both modules. This will ensure the system has the capacity to fully meet the needs of the Cove Bay Water System.
The municipality continues to work closely with Purifics to bring the plant to full performance and ensure it meets all Vancouver Coastal Health drinking water treatment objectives. We appreciate the community’s continued patience and support as we move closer to delivering a fully optimized, long-term water solution.
