Project Description
At the February 24, 2025 Regular Council meeting, Council will consider a referral from the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) regarding an application from the Bowen Island Pub for a New Outdoor Patio.
The Bowen Island Pub received temporary approval for an expanded patio under COVID-era permissions from the LCRB. That permission is now expiring, and the Bowen Island Pub is applying to seek permanent approval. Under the term of their liquor license this does not increase the overall license capacity. When the patio is in use the pub is required to lessen the inside capacity by the number of occupants accommodated on the upper patio.
Staff introduced the application to Council at the January 13, 2025 Council meeting, and there are no changes to the application from that meeting.
