Each October, Bowen Rec hosts the annual Halloween Dance! A highly anticipated event, it features costume contests, fun games, dancing, and Halloween-themed treats. Kids look forward to showing off their costumes and dancing the night away with friends year after year.

Join Bowen Rec at the annual Light Up Bowen celebration, where we bring extra holiday magic! Kids gather to decorate cookies, write letters to Santa, and enjoy festive fun while the community comes together to celebrate the island’s holiday lights. This family favorite brings warmth and cheer to the season every year.

Light Up Bowen (2025)

Every holiday season, young artists and makers are invited to take part in the BICS Craft Fair, where they proudly sell their handmade crafts to the community. This year, Bowen Rec is here to support youth crafters! This annual tradition gives youth a chance to showcase their talents, build entrepreneurial skills, and join the festivities with local artisans and shoppers.
