To ensure safe travel on Bowen Island’s roadways this rainy season, the municipality asks all property owners to control runoff and to maintain their culverts.
Dangerous road conditions can be created by the discharge of water, dirt, leaves, twigs and gravel from private property onto public roadways.
Failure to maintain culverts may result in fining under the Bowen Island Municipality Traffic and Use of Streets Bylaw, No. 133, 2005.
