Step Code 4 is coming in 2027: Educational Opportunities are available.
Step 4 of the BC Energy Step Code will be adopted in 2027, when it will be required by the Province, with Step 5 expected in 2032. Achieving these higher steps may require more substantial changes to building design, layout, techniques, and materials.
In the coming months, BIM will be sharing and providing educational opportunities to help ease the transition to zero carbon buildings.

Bowen Island Municipality’s Water Conservation Guidelines are based on the Metro Vancouver Drinking Water Conservation plan in order to encourage water conservation and promote awareness.
Lawn watering is allowed one morning per week. Flower and vegetable gardens can be watered with sprinklers from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., or anytime using hand watering, soaker hoses, or drip irrigation.
