On Bowen, volunteer firefighters use their personal vehicles to get to the Fire Hall to respond to an emergency. They use their hazard lights to let you know.

Please pull over when it’s safe and let them pass.

Yielding could save someone’s life.

By order of the province, there is fire ban in effect. Absolutely no campfires or beach fires are permitted. Any fires started would violate the current fire ban order.

Stage 3 Water Conservation Guidelines

All Bowen Island Water Systems Moving to Stage 3 Water Conservation Guidelines

Due to ongoing dry weather and little rain in the forecast, all Bowen Island Water Systems will be moving to Stage 3 Water Conservation Guidelines as of Monday, July 7, 2025.

Under Stage 3 Water Conservation Guidelines, watering of flower and vegetable gardens is restricted to hand watering or the use of spring-loaded shut-off nozzle only.

The filling of pools, hot tubs, fountains, or ponds is prohibited.

By clearing Wildfire Hazard Vegetation from your property you make your entire community more resilient to wildfire.

Bring your cleared Wildfire Hazard Vegetation to Firehall 2 on Adams Road and dispose of it in the bin provided.
