Construction of the Community Centre continues into Spring as contractors are finishing the interior and roof.
Winning Artworks for Safety Glass Markings
In January, we put out a call for digital art to be used for glass safety markings in the Community Centre, and received an amazing array of submissions from local islanders. A jury was selected by the Public Art Advisory Committee to evaluate the art and select two winners. We’re delighted to announce that designs by Simon Daniel James and Eleanor Rosenberg will soon grace the glass, providing safety and beauty!
Last Call to put your name on the Wall
The Bowen community has really come together to create this Community Centre, and this will be honoured on a Donor Recognition wall right inside the front doors. All contributions over $200 will be recognized on the donor wall. We’ll be finalizing names by March 27, so if you haven’t contributed yet, here’s your last chance!
