2026 Election

The next General Local Election is on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The administration of general local elections in British Columbia is a shared responsibility between local governments and Elections BC. Each local government is responsible for running its own general local election.

Bowen Island Municipality is responsible for administering candidate nominations, voting and declaration of results under the Local Government Act.

Elections BC is responsible for administering campaign financing and third party advertising rules under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.
