BC Ferries will be carrying out overnight berth maintenance work at the Snug Cove terminal as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.

What’s happening? Non-skid paint preparation and application
When? Sunday, August 23 through Thursday, August 27
What time? Approximately 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night
To minimize disruptions to ferry operations and customers, work will take place after the last sailing of the day and will be completed before the first sailing each morning.
What to Expect
There are no anticipated impacts to ferry sailings or scheduled service during this work.
BC Ferries is aware of the ongoing repair-work that is being made to the Snug Cove North and South Docks, and we do not anticipate any safety or operational conflict between the projects.
While every effort will be made to keep disruptions to a minimum, residents and businesses near the terminal may notice increased overnight noise associated with maintenance activities, including:
- Sandblasting equipment
- Painting equipment
- General construction-related activities
