BIM celebrates 25 years

This year marks a significant milestone for Bowen Island Municipality as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. An island-wide referendum that was held on June 19, 1999, led to an election on November 20 and then the incorporation of Bowen Island Municipality on December 4.

Water System Flushing

From October 22, 2024 to December 15, 2024

BIM flushes Municipal Water Systems to remove sediment that gradually deposits in pipes. Water pressure may get so low, that it reduces to less than a trickle during flushing. It’s an excellent idea to set aside additional water for extra use such as for drinking, cooking, making that essential coffee or even rinsing shampoo out of hair mid-shower!
