The Bowen Theatre is a versatile theatre space is designed for both professional performances and community events.

Featuring retractable seating, full professional lighting, and an advanced sound system, the Bowen Theatre can transform from an auditorium to an open, multipurpose room. Whether you’re hosting a a full-scale production, a dance performance, a workshop, or a wedding, this adaptable space can meet a variety of needs.

This space is available to rent and will also host a variety of public events and performances from both local talent and off-island groups.

The Community Living Room is a comfortable, communal space in the heart of the facility.

This informal community meeting place is casually furnished, well lit, and offers direct access to the Courtyard. It’s the perfect spot to do homework, catch up with a friend, enjoy a casual meet-up, or simply unwind.

This space is not rentable and is open for all to use on a first-come first-serve basis.

The Courtyard is situated at the back of the Community Centre, with views of the bluff and the North Shore Mountains. Accessible from the Living Room, Flex Room, and Fitness Studio, this serene outdoor space is a natural extension of the facility.

This space is shared and non-rentable, open for everyone to enjoy. In the warmer months, the Courtyard will host outdoor fitness classes and summer camp activities.

The Flex Room is a multi-use space, ideal for social gatherings, events, classes, birthday parties, activity groups, and casual meetings.

Designed for flexibility, this dynamic room can be configured to suit a variety of needs. It features large windows for natural light, a convenient sink, and direct access to the Courtyard, seamlessly blending indoors and outdoors.

This space is available to rent and hosts a diverse range of Recreation programs.

The Fitness Centre is a brand-new gym designed to meet the needs of the community.

Equipped with brand-new machines, noise-reducing rubber flooring, and ample space for a wide range of exercises, it offers a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. Open to anyone aged 12 and older, this modern facility is perfect for individual workouts, strength training, and staying active.

The Fitness Studio is a spacious, bright, and well-ventilated area designed for small group workout sessions and fitness classes.

Featuring sprung floors, full-length mirrors, ballet bars, versatile equipment, a sound system, and direct access to the Courtyard, this space adapts to any workout style. Whether you’re looking for an energizing high-intensity class or a serene yoga session, the studio provides the perfect setting.

When not in use for classes, the Fitness Studio is open to Fitness Centre users for stretching and non-equipment-based exercises, offering a flexible space to complement your workout routine.

This space is available to rent and hosts a diverse range of Recreation programs.

The Community Conference Room offers a professional setting, perfect for hosting large meetings, training sessions, and collaborative workshops.

Fully equipped with tables, chairs, a projector, speakers, and Zoom conferencing capabilities, it’s designed to meet the needs of modern gatherings.

This space is available to rent during evenings and on weekends, outside of Municipal office hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm).

Equipped with tables, chairs, a projector, speakers, and Zoom conferencing capabilities, it’s designed to support both in-person and virtual gatherings with ease.

The Kitchenette is a public-use kitchen that is accessible and available to rent during evenings and on weekends, outside of municipal hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am –4:30 pm).

It features small appliances, including a microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven, dishwasher, counter space, and a sink.

Free Wi-Fi: Available throughout the building for all visitors.

Public Restrooms: Accessible, well-maintained restrooms. Male, female, and universal.

Showers: Available for free for all users. One roll-in shower.

Water Station: Free water refill station available for your convenience.

The Community Centre is designed to ensure inclusivity and ease of access for everyone. Key accessibility features include:

Accessible Parking: Two designated accessible parking spots near the main entrance.
Passenger Drop-Off Zone: Convenient drop-off area close to the building.
Barrier-Free Washrooms: Fully accessible washrooms, including one with a roll-in shower.
Single-Floor Layout: A fully accessible single-level design with ramp access.
Lowered Reception Counters: Designed for easy access and use by all visitors.
Braille Signage: Braille is used throughout the building to assist with navigation.
Acoustic Enhancements: Echo-minimizing materials ensure a comfortable auditory experience.
Accessible Theatre Seating: 20 removable wheelchair-accessible seats.
Assistive Listening Technology: Available to enhance the theatre experience.

The Community Centre offers 35 parking spaces, including two designated accessible spots and two equipped with Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations for your convenience.

Public and Pay Parking is available around Snug Cove if there is no parking available in the Community Centre.
