Municipal Notice: Tree Work Along Upper Oceanview Road

Location: 1247 – 1301 Oceanview Rd
Dates: Tuesday, September 9 to Friday, September 12, 2025
Times: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm

A certified arborist has completed a detailed assessment of trees along the watermain on upper Oceanview Rd. Crews will be trimming, cutting back and removing both juvenile and mature trees, including dangerous trees, on the municipal right of way to allow better access to the watermain.

Residents can expect contractor vehicles and equipment parked along the road, noise associated with cutting and chipping, and intermittent road closures while tree work is in progress.

A map showing a section of Oceanview Road and surrounding streets. Two areas are highlighted: a yellow zone indicating tree work that extends along Upper Oceanview Road and nearby side roads, and a blue zone marking the staging area, which spans a portion of Oceanview Road near its intersection with Jason Road. Nearby streets include Jason Road, Park Road, and Miller Road.

Residents who have house numbers nailed or otherwise attached to trees in the municipal road allowance, are asked to remove them and attach the numbers to a post or pole instead.

All chippings will be used to repair the path between the upper and lower Oceanview Rd after watermain work is completed.

Trees will be cut into rounds and made available for the public to take as firewood. Any rounds that are left over when the tree work is complete will be disposed of off-site.
