Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw 2026-2027

2026-2027 PERMISSIVE TAX EXEPMTION BYLAW 692, 2025

Pursuant to Section 224 of the Community Charter, Bowen Island Municipal Council intends to adopt a bylaw exempting from property taxation for two years (2026-2027) the lands and improvements or both that are owned or held by charitable or other not for profit organizations or used or occupied by the Municipality and that Council considers are used for a purpose that is directly related to the purposes of the Corporation. The properties being considered at the Council meeting of October 27, 2025, and the estimated total property taxes that would otherwise be imposed if they were not exempt are listed in the Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw 2026-2027 692, 2025.
