Development Variance Permit Application
The Bowen Island Municipality has received an application for a Development Variance Permit to allow an increase in height for a retaining wall from 0.6m to 1.16m
Municipal staff are preparing to introduce the application to Council at the November 10, 2025 Regular Council Meeting. At that meeting Council will decide to either set a date to formally consider issuing the permit (and issue additional notice to neighbours informing you of that date) or may choose to not proceed further with the application.

Project Description
As mentioned above, this application is to request that the maximum height of a retaining wall is increased from 0.6 m to 1.16 m for the retention of a beach access staircase.
