Looking for a way to make a lasting impact in your community? The Advisory Planning Commission (APC) plays a key role in the community planning process by reviewing land use and development applications and providing advice and recommendations to Council on planning matters.
Council is seeking community members who reflect the diversity of Bowen Island and have an interest in planning, growth management, environmental stewardship, housing, transportation, and the long-term vision for the island. APC members bring local knowledge and perspectives to discussions that help guide thoughtful and sustainable community development.
The time commitment includes monthly APC meetings, reading and reviewing planning-related materials, and participating in discussions on a range of development and policy matters. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to shaping how Bowen Island grows and evolves while helping ensure that planning decisions align with community values and goals.
