Regular Council Meeting

Project Description

A Development Variance Permit application has been submitted for the paving and expansion of the existing parking area for Crippen Regional Park, next to Snug Cove Field and the picnic shelters. This work will expand the capacity of the parking area from 24 to 27 spaces, and will involve the removal of 9 trees.

Their application is to request a variance of the permeable surface requirement for parking lots in the P-1 zone, in order to allow an impermeable/paved surface.

Location

Aerial site map showing a forested waterfront property outlined in light blue, located near a marina with multiple boat slips in the upper right corner. An inset engineering plan bordered in red overlays the top left portion of the image, depicting a proposed access road or pathway, property features, tree locations, and setback measurements labeled between 8 m and 34 m from the top of bank (ToB) along Davies Creek. A large red arrow points from the inset plan to the corresponding location within the wooded property below, illustrating the relationship between the proposed development layout and the actual site.

The application may be viewed on the municipal website or at the Community Centre between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
