The Community Centre is another exciting step closer to opening its doors, thanks to the delivery of beautiful new, Canadian made, furniture for our Community Living Room. This addition will provide a warm, inviting space for Bowen Islanders to gather, relax, and engage in community activities.
The furniture was chosen to reflect the needs expressed by community members, emphasizing accessibility and flexibility. With moveable and adaptable items, the space can easily be configured for different activities while ensuring safety and comfort for seniors, children, and community members with visual, auditory, or mobility challenges.
A big thank you to the Bowen Island Community Foundation for their support, which helped fund the furniture. Their generous contribution plays a vital role in creating a space that will serve as a hub for connection and creativity for all.
