Youth
The LIT Team is a group of youth volunteers ages 12-17 who support community-oriented events and programs led by Community Recreation. This training series is designed to support the Summer Camp program, where LITs will help ensure a fun, safe, and engaging environment at summer day camps. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about working with children, will commit to learning new skills, are respectful towards self and others, and have a positive attitude.
LITs can apply these hours toward volunteer requirements at school, and will gain valuable skills and experience in leadership and self-efficacy. Volunteerism also strengthens your resume and future eligibility to work in other recreation roles like Summer Camp, program facilitation, and youth services. Past LITs are welcome and encouraged to join us again!
