We’re looking for a Municipal Planner 1 to join our department in a beautiful, tight-knit island municipality.
In this role, you’ll work closely with a small, dedicated team on a variety of land use planning projects, undertake permitting processes and conduct community outreach. While there are some exciting larger projects on the horizon, much of the work focuses on helping our community members navigate the planning and permitting process, ensuring the island remains a vibrant and sustainable place to live and work.

BIM is hiring a Planner 1. This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours a week under the direction of the Manager of Planning and Development. The Planner 1 is responsible for select development applications, planning in enquiries, and supporting the Manager of Planning and Development.
